Charles Emmett Goins, Jr.

Charles Emmett Goins, Jr., 72, of Old Princeton Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home. 

Born on May 16, 1953, he was a son of the late Charles Emmett Goins, Sr. and Masel Scott Goins. He was a 53-year member of Maple View Church of Christ. He was the owner of Goins Gas & Produce, which he operated for 50 years before retiring and passing the business over to his son, Charles Goins, III. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Wagner.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Deborah Blackburn Goins of the home; son, Charles Emmett (Paula) Goins, III of Flat Top; daughters, Angela (Kermit) Davis of Princeton and Laurie (Kenny) Adams of Bluefield; grandchildren Erika (Caleb) Morrow, Andrew (Heidi) Davis; Alex Davis, Kaden Adams and Maddie Adams; great grandchild, Finn Morrow; brothers, Gene ( Ellen) Goins of Bluefield and Sam ( Barbara) Goins of Bluefield, WV; and sisters, Brenda Davidson of Indian Rocks, SC, Billie Bailey of Bluefield, VA, and Pat (Richard) Burnopp of Bluefield ,WV, special niece, Cassie Castle of Bluefield, WV. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the MapleView Church of Christ, 194 Robins Rest Road, Bluefield, WV with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Friends may call at the church from 5:00-7:00 PM. Family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to MapleView Church of Christ. 

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 12:00 Noon with family members (son, grandsons and brothers) serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the burial are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 11:30 AM.
