Carol Jean Blackburn

In Loving Memory of Carol Jean Blackburn, 78, of Valley Vista Drive, Tazewell, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 3, 1944 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Ona Wiles Evans. She had been a resident of Tazewell for 4 years and was a member of the Bramwell United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by 1 sister Bonnie Roark and 2 brothers Shorty Evans and Roger Dale Evans.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Blackburn of home; daughters, Brenda Tabor of NC, Barbara Harold of NC, Connie Ratliff of Va, Patty Hall and husband Joe of Bluewell, a son, Ricky Blackburn and Hope of VA; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and brothers, Roy(John) Evans, Jr. and wife Sarah of VA and Bruce Evans and wife Esther of Ohio. Host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating.

Friends may call on Monday prior to services, from 1:00-2:00PM at the funeral home.
