Carmen Gail Hazelwood

Carmen Gail Hazelwood, a devoted caregiver and lifelong resident of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on March 29, 1973, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Brenda Hazelwood.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Amy Marie Hazelwood, who was the apple of her eye.

Carmen graduated from Princeton High School, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and compassion. Her career as a caregiver highlighted her nurturing spirit and commitment to improving the lives of those around her. She offered comfort and support to those in need.

Carmen will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Raymond "Backwoods" Hazelwood and his wife Rebecca, who survives her. Together, the siblings shared many memories that will be cherished and recalled fondly by him.

As we mourn the loss of Carmen Gail Hazelwood, we honor her legacy of kindness and dedication to her work, which has left an indelible mark on the community she served so well. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is proud to serve the Hazelwood family.
