Brenda Kaye Smith

Brenda Kaye Smith, 70, of Matoaka Road, Rock, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on August 6, 1952 in Welch, she was a daughter of the late Hayes and Myrtle Gentry Steele. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She had lived at Rock for 2 years and was formerly of Welch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet Smith.

Survivors include her son, Allen (Rebecca) Smith of Rock, WV; a daughter, Laura (Otis) Rotenberry of Bluefield; brothers, Clarence (Darlene) Steele of Beaver, WV; and sisters Linda Day of Beckley, Betty (Jimmy) Felts of OH and Mary Steele of NC.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to the services on Monday, from 10:00-11:00AM, at the funeral home.
