In Loving Memory of Brenda Gay (Frazier) Barlow

Born – January 19, 1947

Died – October 15, 2025

Brenda Gay (Frazier) Barlow, 78, of Simpsonville, SC and formerly of Sandlick Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born January 19, 1947, in Bluefield, Mercer County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland E. Frazier and Lucille V. (Vaughn) Frazier. She was a graduate of Dundalk High School, Dundalk, MD in 1965.

In 1967, Brenda met the love of her life, Jackie Barlow, and they married in 1968.

Brenda began her career with Bluefield Supply Company, but once her sons were born, she stayed at home to take care of them. After both boys started school, she was employed by the Mercer County West Virginia Board of Education where she faithfully served for over 29 years as a financial secretary.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who lived her life with unwavering faith in God. Guided by her strong belief in the power of prayer and the importance of kindness, she brought light and comfort to everyone she met. Her heart was always open, ready to serve, to listen, and to love without hesitation. She had a gentle spirit and a generous soul, and her life was a true reflection of God’s grace and goodness. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and love will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son, David Heath Barlow, sister Mary Anne Frazier, brother Rodney Frazier, and nephew Mark Frazier, II.

She is survived by her husband Jackie Barlow of Simpsonville, SC; son Jackie Barlow II and wife Marie of Simpsonville, SC; twin sister Linda Kyle and husband Larry of Mansfield, TX; sister Connie Bradford and husband Jeff of Millsboro, DE; brother Mark Frazier and wife Sue of Cooksville, MD; and sister-in-law Sue Frazier of Delta, OH; granddaughters Shawna Hutton, Nikita Barlow, Kourtney Lammey, and Alexa Lammey; grandsons Derick Barlow, Jackie Barlow III, and Deven Barlow; six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members whom she loved dearly.

The family was blessed to have amazing caregivers with Amedisys Hospice Care, Right at Home, and especially her daughter-in-law Marie, for the loving care, love, attention, and compassion they provided to Brenda and her family.

Brenda will be remembered for her warm heart, quiet strength, and gift for finding beauty in everyday moments. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
