Brandi Nicole Stroupe

Brandi Nicole Stroupe, 41, of Welch, WV, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Born December 17, 1984 in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of Richard Stroupe, Jr. and the late Darlita Finley Stroupe. Brandi was a correctional officer at Stevens Correctional Center and attended the Havaco Community Church. She had a great work family and she loved spending time with her boys. Brandi was truly loved by her friends and family and will certainly be missed. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Jean Finley; paternal grandpa, Richard Stroupe, Sr.; uncles, Robert "Peanut" Finley and Johnny Ray Finley; aunt, Deanna Finley; cousins, Logan Kidd and Ian Stroupe.

Those left to cherish Brandi's memory are her father, Richard Stroupe, Jr.; sons, Steven Matthew Cox II, Bryson Scott Cox, and Avan Lee Potter; brother, Scotty Chinsolo and wife, Amy; boyfriend, Alvery Potter; uncle, Randall Pedro Finley and wife Angela of Princeton and many friends and co-workers also survive.

In keeping with Brandi's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no public services. The family will hold a celebration of life service for Brandi at a later date.
