Betty Harless

Betty “Bootie” Harless, 86, of Old Bramwell Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at her home.

Born on October 18, 1934 in Crane Creek, WV, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Cora Collins Eller. She was a member of the Mid-Way Christian Church and was a retired inspector for Joyce Beverage/7-Up.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Bill” Harless,; her first husband, Robert Middleton, Sr.; a daughter, Sheila Hussian and a granddaughter, Cristy Layne.

Survivors include her daughter, Meloney Layne; sons, Robert and John Middleton; step-children, Barbie Beavers, Martha Barker, John Harless, Jr., Jeannie Laney and Sandra Terry; a brother, Homer Eller; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Dan Webb officiating.

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
