Betty Ann Browning

Betty Ann Browning On January 12, 2024 Betty passed away at age 89 after a brief stay at Charleston Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born in Princeton, WV, she moved to Bluefield WV and married William (Bill) Richard Browning, and became a lifelong resident. She was a devoted wife to her husband and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage before his death in June 2020. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Bluefield, WV. She was predeceased by her parents Josephine Smith Moure, Shelton Smith, her sister, Nancy Fisher and brother, Gerald Smith and survived by her half-brother Frank Moure and half-sister Patty Ringsdorf. She made her family the priority in her life raising five children. She is survived by Josephine Bowman and husband, Keith, Teresa Browning, Pam Browning widow of her deceased son, Paul Browning, Martha Thompson, David Browning and his wife Hope. She was blessed with five grandchildren; Kristopher Bowman, Erik Bowman, Jonathan Farley, Michael Farley, and Lyndsey Dye and six great grandchildren; Ariel Bowman, Isabelle, Bowman, Annika Bowman, Luke Bowman, Samuel Farley, and Ryker Dye.

Services will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:00-11:00 visitation, and the service will be held at 11:00 with Fr. Sebastian Devaysa officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memory Gardens. If you plan on attending, please meet at the cemetery.
