Annabell Taylor

Annabell Dyson Taylor, 81, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born October 4, 1941, in Hemphill, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Laura Bowman Dyson. Annabell was a lifelong resident of Bluefield. She retired from the Mercer County Board of Education and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Dewitt Taylor Sr.; daughter, Tammy Beth Salyer; and many brothers and sisters, as she was the last surviving member of her family.

Those left to cherish Annabell’s memory are her son, Lowell Dewitt Taylor Jr. of Bluefield, WV; grandson, Eric Wayne Taylor of Princeton, WV; granddaughters, Sarah Beth Salyer and Laura Marie Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren; and lifelong family friend, Deborah Eller, of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Dinger and Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
