Amy Michelle Catron

Amy Michelle Catron, 51, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at her home.

Born on October 20, 1972 in Welch, she was a daughter of Fairley Lee Burks, Sr. of Ararat, VA and the late Gracie Mae Mitchell Burks. She was a former healthcare CNA and was also the head cook at Brushfork Elementary School.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fairley Lee Burks, Jr. and a sister, Tammy Marleen Underwood.

Survivors in addition to her father include her husband, Jeff Catron of the home; brother, Brian K. Burks of Ararat, VA; mother in law, Gail Catron of Princeton, WV; a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Elder Kevin Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
