Alice Faye Gilley

Alice Faye Gilley, 80, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at her home in Princeton.

Born on May 25, 1942  in Nemours, WV, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Newton and Nannie Margaret Hellmandollar Sayers. She was homemaker, worked at Goodykoontz Drugstore and also volunteered at Princeton Community Hospital. She attended Ceres Baptist Church.

Was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Gilley, Sr., Daughter, Kimberly Diane Gilley Lane; and a grandson, Robert Lee Hurley.

Survivors include her sons, Jeff Gilley of Bluefield, WV and Lee (Lynndale) Gilley of Princeton, WV; daughters, Sharon (Rusty) Agee of Peterstown, WV, Tammy (Bill) Hoover of Senoia, GA and Sandra Hurley of Brushfork, WV; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Oceana Israel of Columbus, OH                

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Mooney officiating.  Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday.

Burial will follow on Thursday at 10:00 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Scott Grimm, Jeremey Spriggs, Samuel Burnette, Isaac Hoover, Jeremy Gilley, Danny Johnson, and Tommy Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery.
