Verlie Maynard Beckner

Verlie Maynard Beckner, 67, of Bluefield, WV passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Glenwood Park Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long illness.                  Verlie was born on July 13, 1949 in Bluefield, WV to Elsie Harless Beckner and the late Verlie Beckner.  He had been a resident of Bluefield for the past ten years.                 He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife Ruthann Carter Beckner of the home. His mother Elsie Harless Beckner of Florida, stepson Eugene Carter of Detroit, MI and one brother James Dewayne Beckner and wife Peggy of Christiansburg, VA and favorite cuz Paula Christina and husband Michael of Bluewell, WV.                  In keeping with his Mr. Beckner wishes he was cremated and no services will be held.
