Roy Daniel Woodie

Roy Daniel Woodie, age 60, of 389-J Country Girl Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 at his residence. Born on November 2, 1949 in Lillybrook, he was a son of the late John and Beulah Workman Woodie. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 14 years and was a member of the Bluefield First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a retired car driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Spence and brothers, Gerald, Everette, John and Charles. Survivors include: Wife: Linda Duncan Woodie of the home Sons: John Woodie and wife Christina of Bluefield Roy Woodie Jr. and fiancé Tevia of Spring Hill, FL Grandchildren: Rebecca & Krystle Woodie; and Tyler Hale Brother: Paul Woodie of Brushfork Sisters: Sue Hardwisk of Charleston Gladys Hall of South Charleston, WV Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday prior to services, from 10:00- 11:00.
