Geraldine “Gerry” Anderson Pruitt, of Route 1 Box 415 (Littlesburg Road), Bluefield, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 at a Princeton hospital. Born on October 21, 1934 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Anna Wilson Dotson. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired manager of H&S Green Stamps. She was a member of the Bluefield Moose Chapter 565, where she held all degrees of the Chapter. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Anderson and Daniel Pruitt; two sisters, Thelma Surface and Dona Belcher; and two brothers, James Dotson and Con Ray Dotson. Survivors include: Son: Michael Anderson and wife Pam of Bluefield Precious grandson, Ryan Tyler Anderson Grandson: Michael Anderson, II Granddaughter: Lori Anderson Great grandsons: Christopher and Steven Anderson 2 sisters: Juanita May and husband Fred of Princeton Shirley Sparks of Bland, VA 3 brothers: Godson Dotson of MI Bennie Dotson and wife Agnes of Knoxville, TN Elbert “Ebbie” Dotson and wife Martinia of Bluefield Loving companion: Raymond (Doc) Fife of Bluefield, VA with who she made her home Friends: Brenda parker and Paula Ross of the home Faithful dog: snowball A host of friends and neighbors Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
