Joseph Ricky Nogosky

Joseph Ricky Nogosky, 55, of 1011 Independence Drive Alabaster, Alabama formerly of Gary, West Virginia. Passed away on Monday, June 01, 2009 at Montgomery Regional Medical Center in Blacksburg, Virginia. He was born April 26, 1954 in Welch, West Virginia to Joseph Nogosky of Elbert, West Virginia and the late Maggie Amcola Nogosky. Rick resided in Alabaster, Alabama with his loving wife Patricia Grohovac Nogosky. He graduated from Gary High School in 1972 and Marshall University in 1976. He was previously employed by the U.S. Steel Mining Company for 26 years. Rick will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors Include: His wife: Patricia Grohovac Nogosky of Alabama. Two Sisters: Drema Altizer of Coalwood, West Virginia and Rosanna Vallo of Welch, West Virginia. One Niece: Dr. Melanie Altizer of Virginia. One stepdaughter:Nicole Askew of Columbiana, Alabama. Two Step-Grandchildren:Nicholas and Jana Askew of Alabama.Special Friends and golf buddies include: John “Buc” Buccarelli, Larry McCarty and Ron Osborne all of Alabama Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 04, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia with Speaker Ron Osborne officiating the service. Those wishing to attend the Graveside service are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home by 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. Friends and family will be serving as pallbearers The Cravens-Shires Fuenral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia is serving the Nogosky family.
