Lucille Kathleen Kelley

Lucille Kathleen Kelley, age 88 of City View Heights, Princeton, WV, passed quietly away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Sylvia Vipperman, after a short illness. Born on September 13, 1920 at Kellysville, WV she was a daughter of the late Albert and Sylvia Maxfield Whitt. She had been a resident of Princeton for most of her life and was a charter member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Princeton and was a member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Kelley; infant daughter, Kathleen Kelley; a son, Paul A. Kelley; a sister, Barbara McKenzie; and brothers George Whitt and Mose Whitt. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sylvia and Johnny Vipperman of Princeton; daughter, Maria Kelley of Buchanan, VA; her very special grandson John David and Patricia Vipperman of Princeton, grandchildren Melissa Hendrick of Matthews, NC, Debbie Goodman of Bluefield, Timothy Shockley of Virginia Beach; David Shockley of Charlottesville, VA, Karlene Amaral of San Jose, CA, Jeanine Stenzel of Roseville, CA; Maria Kelley of Morganton, NC, and Paul Kelley of Florida; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Della Whitt Garrison and husband Duard of Kellysville and Mary Bell of Richmond, VA; brother, William “Pete” Whitt and wife Virginia of Princeton; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Margaret Shires and husband Jim of Bluewell. Respecting Lucille’s wishes, graveside services will be conducted at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marvin Mills, associate pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow. Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery on Monday morning at 11:00 AM.
