Lewis Leondus Clower

Lewis L. “Leon” Clower, age 52, of Lorton Lick Road, Montcalm, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Veterans Medical Center in Beckley. Born on July 27, 1955 in Portsmouth he was son of Johnnie F. Clower, Sr. of Bluefield and the late Ella Louise Tiller Clower. He was a three year veteran of the US Army serving his country in Germany. Survivors include his father, Johnnie F. Clower, Sr. of Montcalm; a son, Chris Delp of WA state; three daughters, Lucretia Hartman, Connie Clower, and Rachel Lanber all of Cincinnati, OH; four brothers, Johnnie F. Clower, Jr.and wife Dana of Lorton Lick Road, Timmy Clower and wife Tina of Montcalm, Clifton Clower and wife Teresa, of Ceres, and Rodney Clower and wife Sandra of Lorton Lick Road; two sisters, Linda Wyatt of Fairmont and Beryl Pickett of Bluewell; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Douglas Wyatt and Rev. Norman Gray officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00- 1:00 AM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV with military honors.
