Robert E. Presley

ANAWALT- Robert E. Presley, Sr. age 67, of PO Box 45, Anawalt, WV, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 at his residence. Born on November 22, 1941 in Jenkinjones, he was a son of the late Robert James and Neva L. Flanner Presley. He had been a resident of Anawalt for most of his life and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired correctional officer. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hatfield Presley of the home; two sons, Robert E. Presley, Jr. of Princeton, and James “Jamie” Presley of Pittsburgh, PA; two daughters, Rebecca Lewis of Anawalt, and Tammy Presley of Jenkinjones; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers, Eddie Presley of PA, Alan Presley of VA, Jimmy Presley of VA, and Ronnie Presley of VA; and three sisters, Donna Conklin of VA, Carol Rose of VA, and Patricia Beavers of VA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 10:00-12:00 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Rev. Wayne Hoback, Rev. Marleen Farris and Rev. Vince Leach will officiate. Burial will follow at his residence.
