William Ernest Dillon, Jr. 79 of P.O. Box 3899 Bluefield, WV (Lorton Lick Road) passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Mr. Dillon was born on August 22, 1932 in Goodwill, WV to the late Ernest Dillon and Elizabeth Rose Dillon Hall. William had been a resident of Bluefield since 1972 was retired from the US Air force after 20 years of service to his country. He was a graduate of Montcalm High School and of Bluefield State College where he earned his B.S. Mr. Dillon was a member of the Durhing Church of Christ.

Survivors Include: One Daughter: Julie Dotson and husband Matthew of Point Pleasant, WV

Two Brothers: Benjamin Hall of Bluefield, WV Marshall Hall of Montcalm, WV

Three Sisters: Jettie Nicewander of Bluefield, WV Elizabeth Vaughan of Bluewell, WV Mary Hall of Tennessee

Three Grandchildren: Brenna, Olivia and Ethan

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Minister Bart Wynegar officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where Matthew Dotson, Wayne Jones, Walter Goins, Ronald Sadler, Ken Bowne, Darrell Bailey and Cletis Shillings will serve as pallbearers. Friends and family may call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m.
